Throughout the year, Thursdays Sundays are our Days of Mindfulness- days of practice open to all friends who would like to come to practice. It is a good introduction to our community for beginners. A Mindfulness Day begins at 8:30am., with two Dharma Talks by our dharma teachers in residence, with walking meditation in between, followed by a silent lunch. Sometimes, there is a session of question and answers. In the afternoon, there are activities such as group discussions, Tea Meditation or Touching the Earth and Guided Relaxation. There are private consultations with a monk or a nun in the afternoon at your request. The day concludes at about 4:30 p.m. Please arrive early, so you have time to settle and to benefit deeply from the energy of the community.
Please down load our folder with complete information "About Deer Park Monastery in WORD or PDF format to share with Sangha members, families and friends. A folder of "Praticing at Deer Park Monastery" is also available in WORD or PDF format for you to down load.

Longer Stays at the Monastery
Our monastery is open all year round for friends to come and deepen their practice, except in the season that our entire community is traveling on teaching tours. We welcome anyone who has stayed previously, at any of our practice centers in Vermont or Plum Village to come and stay at the monastery for longer periods, starting with a request for two weeks and extending thereafter with the permission of the community. Please contact the monastery’s Guest-master to let us know in advance when you would like to visit.
