Nunnery - plans in progress

Deer Park Monastery is a safe and serene refuge where we come to learn the art of mindful living. However, our facilities are very old and it is urgent that we build new, healthy living quarters for the nuns and visiting laywomen of Clarity Hamlet. We love our sisters and they offer so much to us. We want to provide a living environment for them that would be at least what we would want for our own mothers, sisters, and daughters. The Clarity Nunnery will consist of four buildings: two dormitories, a meditation hall and library, and a hut for Thay and his attendant. It will be straw-bale construction and energy efficient—a warm and healthy place for them to live.
