Following a tradition that dates back to the Buddha’s time, each year the Deer Park fourfold Sangha has a 3-month Rains Retreat. The monastic brothers and sisters use this time to deepen their practice. The Rains Retreat begins with two ceremonies. The first is the Counting Sticks Ceremony and the second is on Sunday morning.
Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 11:30am (PST) is the time for the Face-to-Face Ceremony, also known as Ceremony of Requesting Refuge. We are happy to share this ceremony with you.
