Nancy Forest-Flier

Nancy Forest-Flier is a longtime student and friend of Thich Nhat Hanh whose life has been deeply shaped by his teachings on mindfulness, compassion, and peace. She is the widow of Jim Forest, author of Eyes of Compassion: Learning from Thich Nhat Hanh, a book that offers a personal introduction to Thay’s life and teachings through stories, photographs, and correspondence. Nancy shares her memories and reflections on Thich Nhat Hanh as part of Deer Park Monastery’s Who Is Thich Nhat Hanh? course, helping bring a personal and intimate dimension to the story of Thay and the early development of his teachings.
