Sister chuyen nghiem

A Dharma teacher in the Plum Village tradition, originally from Vietnam, born in 1985, Sister Chuyen Nghiem entered monastic training in 2007 at the age of 22 and received the novice precepts on September 20, 2008, at Từ Hiếu Temple, with the Dharma name Tâm Phước Hải and the Dharma title Chân Chuyên Nghiêm. She belongs to the Cây Sen Trắng (White Lotus Tree) ordination family.

She received full ordination on February 27, 2012, during the Tình Huynh Đệ (Brotherhood) Great Ordination Ceremony.

She is the 565th disciple of Thầy in the Plum Village lineage, the 43rd generation in the Lâm Tế (Linji) Zen tradition, and the 9th generation of the Liễu Quán Dharma branch.

Lamp Transmission

Sister Chuyen Nghiem was transmitted the lamp in 2018 during a monastic retreat at Plum Village, receiving the transmission gatha:

"Wholeheartedly nurturing the virtue of loving-kindness,
 Learning with humility, cultivating harmony.
 One morning, the world calls softly,
 Returning to the ancestral path, radiant and free."
