A nun in the Plum Village tradition, originally from Vietnam, born in 1992, Sister Tr. Thang Tam received the novice precepts on April 28, 2013, at the age of 21, with the Dharma name Tâm Quảng Như and the Dharma title Chân Trăng Tháng Tám (True Full Moon of August). She belongs to the Cây Hoa Gạo (Silk Cotton Tree) ordination family.

She received full ordination on February 22, 2017, at The Nursery Monastery (Tu viện Vườn Ươm) in the Tánh Thiên Great Ordination Ceremony.

She is the 800th disciple of Thầy in the Plum Village lineage, the 43rd generation in the Lâm Tế (Linji) Zen tradition, and the 9th generation of the Liễu Quán Dharma branch.
