Sister The Nghiem

A Dharma teacher in the Plum Village tradition, originally from Vietnam, born in 1989, Sister The Nghiem entered monastic training in 2005 at the age of 16 and received the novice precepts on January 8, 2006, at Bát Nhã Monastery, with the Dharma name Tâm Quảng Quang and the Dharma title Chân Thể Nghiêm. She belongs to the Cây Hồng Giòn (Persimmon Tree) ordination family.

She received full ordination in 2010, during the Hoa Thủy Tiên (Narcissus Flower) Great Ordination Ceremony.

She is the 352nd disciple of Thầy in the Plum Village lineage, the 43rd generation in the Lâm Tế (Linji) Zen tradition, and the 9th generation of the Liễu Quán Dharma branch.

Lamp Transmission

Sister The Nghiem was transmitted the lamp in 2014 at Plum Village, receiving the transmission gatha:

"The precepts body manifests true beauty,
 Adorning the land in dignity.
 Flowers bloom along the path of virtue,
 Fulfilling aspirations with boundless grace."
