Sister tuyet nghiem

A Dharma teacher in the Plum Village tradition, originally from Vietnam, born in 1986, Sister Tuyết Nghiêm entered monastic training in 2005 at the age of 19 and received the novice precepts on January 8, 2006, at Bát Nhã Monastery, with the Dharma name Tâm Nguyên Đài and the Dharma title Chân Tuyết Nghiêm. She belongs to the Cây Hồng Giòn (Persimmon Tree) ordination family.

She received full ordination on January 12, 2009, in the Mùa Sen Mới (New Lotus Season) Great Ordination Ceremony at Plum Village.

She is the 337th disciple of Thầy in the Plum Village lineage, the 43rd generation in the Lâm Tế (Linji) Zen tradition, and the 9th generation of the Liễu Quán Dharma branch.

Lamp Transmission

Sister Chân Tuyết Nghiêm was transmitted the lamp in 2014, during the Cam Lộ Vị (Nectar of Compassion) Great Ordination Ceremony at Vườn Ươm Monastery, receiving the transmission gatha:

"The precepts body shines like ice and snow,
 Dignified and upright, the path unfolds.
 A precious sword is passed to a valiant warrior,
 Entering the world, saving countless beings."
