Happy Families Change The World

This online course is an invitation for families to come together in mindfulness in the midst of everyday life. Rooted in the legendary Plum Village children’s program, the course is for those who wish to embrace this practice within their own homes. Over the summer, we are offering the first run of this 8 week course. By nurturing understanding, presence, and loving care within the home, we gently contribute to a more compassionate world.

Happy Families Change The World
An 8 Week Online Course for Families, Caregivers, and Children
June 13, 2026 to August 8, 2026
Format: Online, self-paced with optional live components
We warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for Happy Families Change the World, an 8-week online course rooted in the Plum Village tradition, created in collaboration with researchers from Dartmouth.
This course is a joyful exploration of mindfulness in family life. Together, children, parents, and caregivers are invited to cultivate presence, understanding, and connection both within the home and in community with others walking a similar path.
For many years, Plum Village monasteries have offered family retreats where children and adults practice side by side. This course continues that tradition in an accessible way, supporting families to bring mindfulness into their daily routines, wherever they are in the world.
This offering also serves as a foundation for families who may wish to continue their journey into the first cohort of the Thích Nhất Hạnh School of Interbeing, launching this fall.
